Addison is located in northern Texas and is considered a northern suburb of Dallas. As of 2007, the population of Addison was nearly 14,000. In the summer, the temperatures range from the high 80s and 90s, and in the winter, the temperature will tend to be in the 40s.

Outside of the gated golf community of The Bridges at Preston Crossings are nearby lakes Lake Robert and Lake Texoma. Take the family out to Lake Robert or Lake Texoma and enjoy a day of fishing and boating or enjoy one of the many water sports the lakes allow.
